The Busker fee is $50 per person. Approved buskers will be assigned a location for their performances. 2026 Fergus Medieval Faire Busker Form
Introduction
The Fergus Medieval Faire is an annual, free, family-oriented event held throughout downtown Fergus, Ontario. The Fergus Medieval Faire began in July 2018. The Pandemic interrupted this annual event in 2020 and 2021. The 7th annual Fergus Medieval Faire is scheduled to take place on July 25, 2026.This event not only celebrates medieval history and culture but also serves as a vital economic driver for the community, highlighting the positive impact of cultural festivals on local economies.Funding
The Fergus Medieval Faire began in 2018 and welcomed 2,500 visitors to downtown Fergus. Since 2022, the Faire has attracted more than 10,000 visitors in a single day, significantly boosting tourism and revenues for local businesses. Restaurants and shops reported increased revenue and sold-out accommodation providers welcomed guests from throughout the province of Ontario.The Fergus Medieval Faire is an immersive interactive experience suitable for all ages featuring Medieval games, activities, entertainment and feasting. The event takes place throughout downtown Fergus and includes Templin Garden, Provost Lane, Menzies Lane, and Saint Andrew Street (from Saint David to Tower Street). Intentionally designed to encourage visitors to explore downtown Fergus in its’ entirety.The Fergus Medieval Faire is a community-oriented event collaborating with the downtown library, local church groups, theatre & theatre groups, local entertainers and service groups.
The Fergus Medieval Faire is an admission free open-street event. As such, the Faire relies on local sponsors and grants for funding, as there are no ticket sales. Currently the faire receives a small amount of grant dollars from the Town of Centre Wellington and the Fergus BIA.
We believe the Fergus Medieval Faire is so well attended because it is free. It is one of the only festivals in Ontario that is admission free, making it a popular choice for young families.Sponsorship

We need people to help with any emergencies that might come up: an illness or injury, a child gets separated from their family, etc. You’ll patrol a section of the Faire grounds, respond to issues and contact the appropriate emergency service (medical response team or 911). You are not expected to provide first aid or emergency services (unless you are qualified to do so).
